Pros.1. Multi-Touch interface
2. 9.7 inch Crystal clear IPS touch display.
3. Read e-books with the great new iBooks app.
4. Watch YouTube in HD.
5. iPad also has a cool new mobile version of Apple’s iWork suite, that let’s you create PowerPoint like presenation, type and edit a text document, and manage spreadsheets, all in a fresh touch interface.
6. No flash. Yes, that’s a pro (and a con as you’ll soon see). Apple not including flash gives browsing on the iPad much smoother and quicker. Apple’s goal is not to bring you the most complicated and advanced software and hardware, but the simplesed, yet most powerfull.
Cons.
1. The tablet is $499 at it’s lowest, and if your going to want the 3G model, it’s going to cost you $699, for the lower end model.
3. The 3G model is running on AT&T (not a surprise), with an unlocked SIM card. The problem is, it’s some type of Micro SIM, that nobody really uses.
4. No cameras. The tablet does not have either a camera on the back for taking pictures, or a front facing camera (like iSight) for video chats. Personaly, I’m not to crazy about niether of them, cause I think that it would kind of be akeard trying to take a picture with a big metal thing. But, like I said, that’s just my opinion.
6. Did you just relize I skipped number five? I bet ya’ didn’t!
5. No flash. I mentioned before that this is a pro because it keeps the tablet simple, but it still has it’s con-ness. Many sites use flash for vidoes, which is essential for a good browser. I mean, really, besides QuickTime, what good program is out there for a video player? Plus, flash is known for it’s ability to have a lot of features that allow you to interact with the sites content. So, it would of been nice to have flash on the iPad, but I dosnt have it, so forget that!
That baicly ends off this long article on the iPad. Thanks for reading and enjoy your stay on AppleKTech.com!!
