Wheelchair Batteries
Article Body:
Batteries used in things like wheel chairs are essential for every day living and it is not convenient when they die. When you depend on a battery for mobility, it is crucial that the battery is a powerful one.
Batteries designed specifically for electric motors are known as traction batteries. They are constructed is several ways. One is a gel-battery in which electrolyte gel packs are used to avoid spilling common in lead-acid batteries. A newer traction battery on the market is the AGM battery, or absorbed glass mat battery. In this battery, the electrolyte is embedded in between boron-silicate glass mats. Just like gel-batteries they will not spill if broken, but AGM batteries can take much more mechanical abuse from things like shock and vibration.
AGM wheelchair batteries are also more ideal because of their charge and discharge rates. Charging an AGM battery is similar to most standard batteries, so there is no need for a special charger, and there are no problems with incompatible chargers. AGM batteries have a very low self-discharge rate which allows them to sit for periods of time without recharging. AGM batteries also charge quite rapidly.
AGM batteries are a great and safe alternative to the hazardous lead-acid batteries. In cases of mobility, spillage can be a deadly issue. Wheelchair batteries can be quite expensive, but they are long lasting and crucial for those who need them to get around.
What Makes LCD Flat Panels The Right Choice
Article Body:
When designing your home theater, there are many questions and decisions to be made regarding audio and visual elements. The type of television itself is usually one of the biggest of these decisions. Plasma, LCD, flat panel, rear-projection – these terms are thrown at us each day and many of us are just starting to understand the differences. The most common televisions being purchased in the United States are plasma televisions and LCD flat panels.
There are several pros and cons to consider before choosing a LCD television. While the reduced footprint and the flat screen are nice they certainly aren’t for everyone. You should carefully consider the various advantages and disadvantages of this TV versus a plasma screen before making a purchase.
The following is some of the basic information about the LCD and some advice to help you in making your decision. You should keep personal considerations in mind as well, and ask electronics and audio-visual professionals for their opinion if you still aren’t sure as to what you should buy.
Advantages of LCD Flat Panel Television Sets
LCD flat panel televisions have the most options available in regards to how they are installed. When including one in your home theater, installation can be as simple as placing it on a standard television stand or you can choose to mount it on the wall. Most LCD flat panel televisions are aesthetically pleasing because they are incredibly sleek and thin. They should fit in well with pretty much any home theater design, and they are relatively lightweight when compared to other televisions so that they can be moved easily.
LCD televisions are also considered to be good long-term television investments because they will run for 50,000 – 60,000 viewing hours. Most modern LCD televisions also support higher picture resolutions and high-definition display options are becoming more available as well. And unlike some brands of plasma televisions, LCD video displays do not but an image into the screen after a long period of time.
Disadvantages of LCD Flat Panel Television Sets
Because of the nature of the liquid crystal display in their screens, they are much more likely to be damaged if something hits the screen. LCD screens should always be installed by a professional; an incorrectly-installed wall mount will pull away from the wall over time and could fall. The cost of an LCD television set is generally higher than plasma or rear-projection televisions, as well. You should consider that while high-definition display options may be available, not all LCD flat panel televisions are HD-ready and even if they are additional components are generally required to allow HD programming to display. These must be purchased as an additional cost. Additionally, early models of LCD screens did not display black and dark images as clearly as a plasma screen. This differentiation appears to have been improved upon in newer models.
Deciding if LCD Is Right for You
While some of the disadvantages listed above are worst-case scenarios, they should be considered simply because they add additional costs to your overall home theater system. Be sure to consider exactly how much you want to spend on a television that fits your home, especially if you’re still in the process of buying your system and want it to be included in the home theater installation. Decide whether you need a high-definition system now or not. With the transition to digital television in 2009, many are preparing their household for HD now. The decision to buy HD ready televisions and components now is one you will have to make based on your budget and household’s entertainment habits. This is a major decision to make, and you’re going to want to make sure that you’re happy with the final result when you make it.

Women are major electronics consumers
Article Body:
Women are taking a greater interest in, and have a more sophisticated understanding of electronics than ever before.
Women actually spent more on technology last year than men, according to the Consumer Electronics Association. It says women accounted for $55 billion of the $96 billion spent on electronics gear (statistic from a January 6 CEA press release).
Women are increasingly interested in gadgets, from DVD players to digital cameras, for themselves or birthday gifts for their families.
Almost a third of women consider themselves early adopters willing to buy cutting-edge consumer technology.
CEA reported that women in the United States are becoming more likely to use consumer electronics. CEA's study provides detailed information about the attitudes, purchase considerations, decision influences, purchase channels, current product ownership, and future purchase intent. Here are some of the findings:
• Women are involved in 89 percent of all consumer electronics purchase decisions.
• 84% of women believe that new technologies can improve their lives.
• 48% of women age 18–34 own a digital camera.
The CEA survey noted that women have very positive reactions to specific technology areas, like HDTV, cell phones, and digital photography.
Women have more buying power and they increasingly use technology to manage their busy schedules. Women's comfort level with technology is at an all-time high.
Women want products that make it easy to connect and make it easy to operate; limited wiring or no wires at all; slim, well-designed products; making electronics available in different colors is not very important; low on setup and high on usability. Usability often is an important factor to women when they buy technology;
At CES, organizers hung big pink banners saying "Technology is a Girl's Best Friend," even though the group's own research found a third of women surveyed don't like products with girlie colors.
Nearly three-quarters of women surveyed complained about being ignored or patronized by sales people when shopping for electronics.
A growing number of companies are starting to target their wares toward female buyers.
Sony is outfitting its electronics with features that many women seek and is designing Sony Style retail stores to appeal to women’s preferences by creating an environment where women feel comfortable. Many of Sony’s efforts are focused on functionality.
Women are becoming informed and involved in technology areas where they once had little or no presence.
Why use a compressed air regulator?
Article Body:
If you purchase a "do-it-yourself" type air compressor, or if you purchase any type of air compressor for that matter, check to make sure that it comes with an Air Regulator. If not, purchase one. You will be glad you did!
An air regulator is a device that lowers the downstream air pressure. Downstream air is the air that's moving from the regulator towards your application.
Compressed air will flow from the compressor reservoir into the air regulator (this supply is called upstream air) and through a system of an internal diaphragm and springs, the regulator will maintain a constant downstream air pressure level, despite changes in the upstream supply pressure from the tank.
Recognize that you can only use a compressed air regulator to increase the downstream air pressure up to the level of the upstream supply air pressure. An air regulator will not enable you to "dial up" the downstream air pressure higher than the upstream level.
However, if you can figure out how to do that, do let me know, and we'll both get rich! ;-}
You will want to set the downstream air pressure from your regulator at a pressure level that is below the lowest air pressure that will be incoming from your air compressor. Here's why.
The compressor maximum pressure set point is the pressure level inside the compressor receiver at which the compressor shuts itself off. This is also known as the "cut out" pressure.
When the cut out pressure is reached, the compressor stops compressing air. When you start to use compressed air from the compressor tank, the pressure inside starts to drop, and eventually the compressor will start again. This is the "cut in" pressure point.
As a result, your application, be it an air tool or an air brush, will "see" varying pressures from the tank as the compressor cycles on and off between the two set points.
For most applications, a varying air pressure supply isn't satisfactory and it is particularly problematical for folks that use compressed air to spray paint. Despite your best efforts with the air brush, if the supply air pressure is constantly changing, so too will the quality of your work.
This brings us back to the why you will always want to have an air regulator installed in the line between the compressor and your application.
If you set the downstream air pressure at a pressure level BELOW the cut in pressure level of the air compressor, in theory, the air pressure to your application should never change. As the air compressor goes through its normal cut-in and cut-out cycle your air regulator ensures that your downstream device will see a steady, non-fluctuating, supply of compressed air.
This is theoretical only, unfortunately. If your application consumes more compressed air than your compressor can generate, even though you have set your air regulator at a "safe" level, eventually the air pressure from the tank will fall below the level your regulator is set for, and the downstream device will see a steadily diminishing air pressure supply too; this even though your compressor may have cut-in, and is trying desperately to build up a supply of compressed air inside the tank.
This is why you really want to know how much air you need for your application to ensure that your air compressor has enough capacity to oversupply your needs. Check out details of this at ABOUT-air-compressors. com!
Know that air pressure regulators come with different levels of accuracy with the least accurate being, as you might guess, the least expensive.
Most general purpose compressed air regulators will have an accuracy of 3-5 PSI, meaning that the actual air pressure that your device is being supplied through the regulator will vary within that range, despite what it says on the gauge.
If you need more accuracy, opt for a precision regulator, and depending on the manufacturer, you may be able to get a downstream air pressure within a .5 PSI accuracy of the pressure reading on the gauge.
General purpose air pressure regulators normally have an operating range in the area of of 0 - 120 PSI. Others will be rated for pressures of 0-100 or 0-150 PSI.
You can also get air regulators with a narrower and more specialty oriented range of pressures such as: 0-10 PSI, 0-20, 20-60 PSI and so on. At the other end of the scale, you can purchase regulators that can safely handle many thousands of PSI.
For most do-it-yourself types, a general compressed air regulator with a range of 0-100 PSI will do just fine.
Why I Buy My Computers and Other Electronics Online
Article Body:
I must admit that I'd be absolutely lost without the growing number of desktop and laptop computers, printers, digital cameras and all the other assorted electronic equipment in my house and home office. I know I once got along without all this gear, but that was back in the olden days, in the last millennium. Today I absolutely depend on it. What this means is that I buy a lot of stuff, and I have formed some definite opinions about where I do my shopping and what places I avoid like the plague.
I hate to say it, but #1 on my list of places to avoid are the big electronics chain stores. They are certainly convenient and their prices are usually in the ballpark. And all their glossy brochures have lured me more than once when I quickly needed some RAM, a disk, or a new inkjet printer. Problem is that their sales people are embarrassingly clueless and often only interested in selling extended service contracts. No thank you.
When I build a new desktop computer I occasionally buy the parts from a local electronics superstore. Those places are a geek's paradise, or they could be if it weren't for a couple of really annoying deal breakers. First, half of the boards don't work after I bring them home. And second, I absolutely refuse to buy things that are only a good deal after a mail-in rebate or two. I've been burned too many times with rebates. No more.
Office supply stores are stocking more and more electronic equipment. So when I go buy a ream of paper or some other small stuff I often end up looking at their laptops and digital cameras. And once I even bought a notebook computer there, something that I later regretted as there was, of course, no service or support. I actually like the office supply stores and have no problem buying things like laser printer cartridges there, but that's about it for computer stuff.
Another bad practice that's taking over is luring customers with low prices, make them wade through several order screens, and then break the bad news, like some gargantuan shipping charge or that, sadly, the item is not in stock. Do that to me once and I won't be back.
So where do I get most of my electronics gear? Online. I love being able to browse online stores at my leisure, without any sales pressure and usually with all the information I need. I like neat, clean just-the-facts stores that specialize in the kind of gear I want. I don't need useless "reviews" by folks who always seem to have an axe to grind or hate everything. And I don't need long lists of the 99 lowest prices on the web. All I want is information and a good selection. I do expect a degree of customer support in case I have questions, and most of the better online stores can handle that easily.
Had someone told me 10 or 15 years ago that some day I'd buy things like laptops, digital cameras, printers or even desktop computers online from some website far away, I'd have laughed. But that's where I get most of my electronic equipment and gadgets from these days, and I've rarely ever had a bad experience. Those online stores seem to try a lot harder, and that's good news for guys like me.
Why Is Digital TV Better Than Analog TV?
Article Body:
To believe this one should watch both of them and feel the difference on their own. The quality of picture and sound are of high quality which gives you ultimate excitement and satisfaction while watching your favorite programs. Digital TV compresses images which help to broadcast multiple channels at a same band width. Whereas Analog which is generally called as SDTV uses magnetic waves to transmit and display pictures and sound which has been traditionally used. The special features available in Digital TV is surround sound, crystal clear pictures, sharper pictures which is all requires for the latest evolution of television the High Definition Television.
Compared to the analog the SDTV is significant as it provides more channels from the same station. If you observe the analog broad casting you will find that it is a hassle the capacity to accommodate only a few stations. Where as with digital it contains more information than the analog.
If you already have an analog set and wish to upgrade it to a digital one its possible by using digital tuner decoder though it will display the high quality pictures as provided by the original digital sets. In today’s market you find digital quality sets are available and the best news is that their prices have decreased.
The cable providers always do not supply with digital cables which digital signals. As such cables do not meet the standards when a digital cable is connected to a digital TV it will receive only analog signal, thus eliminating the advantages of a digital television. A solution for this is the digital quality pictures provided by satellite service providers.
Digital TV is used for the latest innovation in entertainment the HDTV. Here you get to watch pictures in a wider screen with more clarity than in analog sets. The picture quality and the audio clarity are far better as compared with the analog.
If this revolution from analog to digital continues what about consumers who have analog system is a question which ponders the minds of many.
For this a transition period has been set up and that is through the year 2006. If necessity requires then that can be extended too.

Go Online to Buy Hot Consumer Electronics for the Holidays
Article Body:
As in recent years, experts are forecasting that consumer electronics will top wish lists in the upcoming holiday season. And, although some shoppers continue to favor brick-and-mortar stores, an increasing number of consumers are finding better prices and greater selections of consumer electronics through online stores.
There are three categories of consumer electronics that are forecast to be especially hot this holiday season:
Gaming Systems
The recent launch of Halo 3 left no doubt among entertainment industry experts that video games and video game consoles can rake in more money than Hollywood movie premieres. With over $3 million in sales the first week, Halo 3 - the Xbox 360 signature game - dealt Microsoft a winning hand.
But the Xbox 360 isn't the only gaming system set to heat up during the holiday gift giving season. With its enhanced physicality and interactive community, Nintendo Wii is still considered the breakout gaming system of the decade. From the compelling Wii characters to the dexterity-challenging Nunchuk, every aspect of the Nintendo Wii is engaging and enchanting.
Although in some circles Sony's PlayStation has been left holding the bag, PS3 gaming systems are still hot commodities, especially for families with children. As some of the other gaming systems have skewed their video game releases to the teenage and adult markets, PS3 and PS2 systems have remained home to a vast array of kid-friendly games.
Cell Phones
Although cell phones are ubiquitous, they continue to be in demand. And, despite the hoopla associated with this year's launch of the innovative Apple iPhone, this holiday season will find most shoppers buying established cell phone brands like Nokia, Samsung, and Motorola.
Music and Video Players
When it comes to consumer electronics and the holidays, more people than ever before will be unwrapping music and video players. Apple iPods are expected to be in high demand, as will portable DVD players. And, with an increasing number of people becoming familiar with DVD recorders' multitude of features, DVD player/recorders will also be hot commodities this holiday season.
Buying Consumer Electronics Online
Because online stores don't have the overhead expenses associated with retail brick-and-mortar stores, they are often able to offer the most popular consumer electronics at rock bottom prices. Plus, online store offer the added bonus of allowing consumers to comparison shop in order to find the best deal on gaming systems, cell phones, and music and DVD players.
For example, some online stores will offer a variety of video games bundled with an Xbox 360, which can literally save consumers hundreds of dollars. Aside from bundled systems and other bargains, there are other factors to consider when choosing an online store to buy consumer electronics. These factors include real-time ordering and online inventory (so your gift won't be stuck on backorder), warehouse shipping (rather than having to wait for a middleman to ship the merchandise), and exceptional customer service (such as timely communication and non minimum purchase requirements).
When you find the right store, shopping online for consumer electronics can be a breeze - and a bargain!

Flashlight Buying Guide
Article Body:
Gone are the days when buying a flashlight meant one would automatically seek out Maglite. Whilst recognising the impact and unprecedented success of the Maglite design, LED, HID (High Intensity Discharge) and Xenon technology along with ultra strong casing materials means that the flashlight has evolved to a state where the more powerful the beam does not necessarily mean the larger the flashlight.
When seeking out high performance, reasonably priced lighting tools it is easy to become swamped by the amount of brands on the market. Flashlight technology at the beginning of the 21st century offers a baffling variation of bulb type, body material, body size, power source and price range. This guide is a brief overview of the salient points worth consideration when buying any quality flashlight.
In the same way that feet measure length so lumens measure brightness. The higher the Lumen count the brighter and further the beam will show. Occasionally you may find brightness levels measured in Candlepower or Candelas, this describes a unit of light at source. One Candlepower/Candela is equal to 12.57 Lumens.
Perhaps the most significant breakthrough in lighting technology was the L.E.D. (Light Emitting Diode). The L.E.D. produces light on a molecular level as distinct from a normal bulb, which heats a filament therefore using more energy to produce less light. As a result an L.E.D. will last a lifetime and dramatically lengthen the life of a battery. They do, however, vary in purity. Like diamonds, at the point of production some produce clean white light whereas others have a very slight blue, violet or green tint.
Xenon Lights produce a broad spectrum of light (including infrared) and can be made to have a high maximum lumen output by the inclusion of Xenon gas in the bulb thus enabling light to be produced at a higher pressure, but they are comparatively less efficient users of power. H.I.D technology (High Intensity Discharge) uses a Xenon bulb slightly differently with the addition of a tubular outer bulb and an inner arc tube with a cerium-doped quartz partition in the bulb to block out most ultraviolet. HID torches have lumen output of approximately 500-1000. Lighting technology could be described as a battle between light and heat, as the energy to produce the heat detracts from that which produces the light. The undoubted master is the LED. It makes light without the need to heat a filament, thus lengthening bulb and battery life. However the power from a Xenon bulb can be astoundingly bright yet harder on the batteries.
Casing material has progressed so far as to be almost indestructible if dropped and virtually water resistant in very wet conditions. A good, quality flashlight will invariably have an Aerospace grade aluminium body and a rugged construction and design.
Manufacturers vary in quality and specialism. Surefire have a quality range of Xenon and LEDs with a comprehensive range of accessories. Ledwave produce excellent, powerful and reasonably priced LED and Xenon lights. Nextorch can boast the extraordinary Saint, capable of producing a massive 450 lumens, plus a range of ingeniously, versatile LED, Xenon and rechargeable torches.
Navigating the labyrinth of flashlight production is tricky and ultimately dependant on what job will be asked of it. Lumen output to size ratio, tough hardwearing casing material and bulb / battery life are essential elements to take into consideration when choosing a lighting tool to last and perform over time.

Finding An LCD TV Sale
Article Body:
LCD TVs are incredibly popular, and prices continue to fall year after year. Yet they’re still relatively expensive – you can still expect to pay between $1,000 and $3,000 for many of the high-tech models with large screen sizes. If your goal is to find an LCD TV sale, you’re in luck: increased competition in the LCD TV market has created a number of avenues for finding an LCD TV sale or for finding LCD TVs on sale. Let’s look at a few of the ways you can find a bargain at an LCD TV sale.
The first major source for an LCD TV sale is through online discounters. Online discounters tend to offer lower prices than even the discount electronics stores like Best Buy and Circuit City because they have much lower overhead – they don’t have to pay for retail outlets and for distribution to those outlets. Keep in mind, though, that the total cost of the TV can be higher than its purchase price due to shipping costs. Some TVs bought at an online TV sale are sold with free shipping; in other cases shipping can cost $40 to $80 and up depending on the size of the TV you purchase. You can also find an LCD TV “sale” at auction sites like eBay – not only can you find a new LCD TV, but you may find a used model that’s perfect for your viewing habits and your pocketbook.
Speaking of a used LCD TV, check out a used LCD TV sale. “Used” doesn’t always have to mean “old.” Many retailers take TVs in trade from their customers, and they’ll sell you a used set at a greatly reduced price. Why? LCD technology is rapidly advancing and today’s cutting-edge model can be tomorrow’s out of date model. Many consumers love to buy the latest technology, and will sell their “old” set at a fraction of its original cost… letting you get a great buy at a used LCD TV sale. Some electronics stores take trade-ins and return the used model to the manufacturer for inspection and testing before they re-sell it. You can find a used LCD TV sale by checking with your local electronics stores or by checking online auction sites.
Another type of TV that’s always on sale is a “scratch and dent” TV. Retailers always offer their slightly damaged LCD TVs at a sale price. Why? Just like other appliances and electronics equipment, an LCD TV can’t be advertised and sold in new condition if it has minor cosmetic damage. Most retailers will discount those items heavily instead of paying the shipping charges necessary to return them to the manufacturer for repair. When you walk in the door, the scratch and dent items will always be included in an LCD TV sale. Best of all, most scratch and dent TVs come with a full warranty, so you won’t have to worry about reliability. You can buy an LCD TV on sale by finding a unit you want with minor cosmetic damage.
Discontinued models are frequently included in an LCD TV sale. Manufacturers constantly seek to introduce new models with cutting edge technology, and retailers sell overstock and discontinued models at near-cost levels to free up inventory (and cash.) A discontinued model is frequently one of the feature products in an LCD TV sale. Keep an eye out for seasonal specials, too – shopping in January will often let you take advantage of excess inventory in the post-Christmas period.
Finally, you can create your own LCD TV sale by taking advantage of rebates. Some rebates are advertised at the point of purchase; others are a little more “hidden,” and can only be found by checking with the manufacturer. Many electronics manufacturers, like Sony, post rebate information on their website. While your local retailer might not have the latest rebate information, the manufacturer will – and if you take advantage of a rebate, you’ve created your own LCD TV sale.
Features and Benefits of DLP TVs
Article Body:
Even today, Texas Instruments remains the primary manufacturer of this technology. Many different manufacturers license the technology from Texas Instruments, and build their products around the TI chipset. In addition to its use in televisions and projectors, DLP technology is used in a number of specialized applications such as lithography and imaging.
DLP technology differs from other video technology in that it utilizes a small digital micromirror device (DMD) to tilt more than 1.3 million of these tiny mirrors, each of them smaller than the width of a human hair either toward or away from the light source contained within the DLP device. This process creates the dark and light pixels which appear on the projection screen.
The light is then filtered through a color wheel rotating at 120 times per second, to produce a technology that is capable of producing some 1024 different shades of gray. It is this gradation of color that really makes DLP technology stand out, and these gradations of color are achieved using color filters which are backlit using just the right intensity of pure white light.
There are four major components to the DLP system:
The DMD chip, which controls the mirrors
The color wheel
The light source and
The optics
In order to produce the picture, the light from the lamp passes through the color wheel filter and into the DMD chip, which then switches its mirrors on or off according to the color which is reflecting off of them.
This digital light processing, or DLP, technology is rapidly becoming a major player in the world of the rear projection TV, and more than two million of these TVs have been sold. More than 50 manufacturers sell at least one model of DLP based television, and as of 2004 the DLP TV had achieved a 10% market share. In addition, small standalone units, known in the business as front projectors, have become popular items both in the world of business presentations and in the world of home theater.
Advantages of DLP Technology
There are a number of important advantages to television sets that use DLP technology to produce their displays. Some of these advantages include:
Images that are smooth and free of jitter
No possibility of screen burn in
Good contrast
Good depth of color
In addition, DLP rear projection televisions are generally smaller, thinner and lighter in weight than traditional CRT televisions of similar size. Another potential advantage of the new DLP technology is that the light source is replaceable, which may be able to provide a longer lifespan than either traditional CRT or new plasma screen displays. The light source of the DLP unit is much easier to replace than that in an LCD model, and many models of DLP television feature light sources that are easily changed by the end user. Of course no one wants to replace the light source before its time, and the newest LED light sources on the market, introduced in April of 2006, have been shown to last 20,000 hours before needing to be replaced.
Disadvantages of DLP Technology
Of course there are some disadvantages to DLP television technology as well, and it is important for those in the market for a new TV to be aware of these potential pitfalls. For instance, in some single chip DLP designs, viewers may be bothered by the so called “rainbow effect”, which affects how colors are displayed on the TV and perceived by the viewer.
In addition to this rainbow effect, some possible disadvantages of DLP technology include:
Not as thin or as sleek as LCD or plasma displays, even though the weight is comparable
Some models have noisy fans
The replacement bulbs can be quite expensive, ranging from $200 to as much as $500
Competing Technologies
The main competitor to DLP in the market for rear projection televisions is known as LCoS (liquid crystal on silicon). This technology creates its images by using a stationary mirror which is mounted on the surface of a chip, and then uses a liquid crystal matrix to control how much light is reflected to create the image. These competing standards are still being worked out, so it is important to shop carefully and to read lots of reviews before making a final purchase.
When shopping for a DLP television, it is important of course to learn as much as you can about the new technology, and it is just as important to shop around for the best possible price. When shopping for a new DLP TV, it is important to look carefully at the kind of tuner the unit uses. Many modern television sets are designed to be multisystem devices, meaning that not only are they capable of reading the NTSC signal used in North America and Japan, but they will also be able to deal with competing standards such as PAL and SECAM. This can be an important consideration, so it is important to make sure you understand these various formats and how they affect you as an end user.
It is important as well to look at the type of components that can be connected to the new DLP television. Most modern TVs are built to accept signals not only from cable TV and satellite TV boxes but from DVD players, VCRs, and even computers. The presence of a VGA or DVI connection will allow the unit to function as a computer monitor as well as a television, but it is important to use caution when using any kind of rear projection TV for this purpose. While plasma TVs can often make excellent computer monitors, technologies like DLP may struggle to provide the depth and resolution that computer users are used to.
Even though the prices of televisions in general, and DLP televisions in particular, have become a lot more affordable in recent years, these TVs are still major purchases, and it makes sense to give that purchase the consideration it deserves. As with any purchase, shopping around carefully will help you get not only the lowest price but the best overall value as well.
Father's Day Reflections: My Dad, the Electronics Enthusiast
Article Body:
With Father's Day just around the corner, it's time once again to figure out what I'm going to get my dad. Like many men, he's an electronics enthusiast through and through. He's what companies like (or love) to call an "early adopter" - someone who just can't wait to buy the latest gadget, the faster computer, the bigger HDTV, and anything else you can think of. His obsession definitely has its benefits, though. My sister and I regularly go through his "electronics graveyard" and get fully functional computers, DVD recorders, and all manner of accessories.
But this knack of his to buy the latest electronics makes it that much more difficult to figure out what to get him for his birthday, Christmas, and Father's Day. My sister and I are thinking about buying him a new digital camera for Father's Day, one that has 7.0 megapixels, an optical zoom, and a special setting for taking eBay pictures. Dad is an avid eBay seller, and the right photos can make the difference between selling an item at a decent price and at a great price. The new digital cameras that have the special eBay setting would complement two of his passions: electronics and eBay.
We're also considering buying him a GPS receiver. The Global Positioning System is a set of satellites in orbit high above the earth, and a GPS receiver can tell you, in terms of latitude and longitude, exactly where you are. Some GPS receivers have built-in mapping tools that not only include road maps, but that also show places of interest. So, for example, when Dad's traveling and needs to find a gas station, he can "ask" the GPS system where the nearest gas station is, and then receive directions to it.
A GPS receiver is also perfect for a new "sport" that I've become interested in, and one that I think Dad would love. Geocaching is a hobby that is quite a bit like a treasure hunt. People all over the globe hide small containers that contain trinkets and logbooks, ascertain the latitudinal and longitudinal coordinates of the hiding spots, and post them online. You can go online and find the coordinates of caches near where you live or travel, enter them into your GPS receiver, and then try and find the cache. It's not as easy as it sounds, but it sure is a lot of fun. Once you find a cache, you can pick up a trinket, leave a trinket, and sign the logbook. Dad's expressed an interest in geocaching, and since he does a lot of traveling for his work, my sister and I think that a GPS receiver and a book on geocaching might make the perfect Father's Day gift.
In my heart, I know that our dad will appreciate whatever gift we choose. Any type of electronics will tickle his fancy, and I'm sure that he'll enjoy either a digital camera or a GPS system. The only thing we have to worry about is whether he'll go out and buy one for himself before we get a chance to give him his Father's Day gift!
Enhance Your Home Theater Experience with HDMI Cables
Article Body:
A top quality home theater isn't only about high-definition televisions and DVD players. It's also about the cables used to transmit programming through to these products. A type of cable that's proving to be a winner in excellent quality is the HDMI cable. HDMI stands for High-Definition Multimedia Interface, which is an audio/video connector interface used to transmit uncompressed digital signals.
HDMI provides audio/video cables that will connect electronics such as an HD-DVD player, a personal computer, a set-top box, a video game console, or a Blu-ray Disc player to a digital television monitor or digital audio device. HDMI cable compatibility has also been introduced to the digital camera and camcorder world.
Why HDMI Cables?
The old saying goes, "If you're going to do something, do it right!" Any high quality home theater set-up is only as good as the cables used to transmit the digital information. You can have the best, most expensive HD-DVD player in the world, but your low-quality cables will hinder the sound and picture quality because the transmission is simply not good enough or powerful enough for your system to reach its maximum potential. With HDMI, you're getting a high-quality transmission to your high-quality system, which maximizes the quality of sound and picture as you view movies, use your computer, play a video game, listen to music, or whatever else!
HDMI Cable Features and Benefits
Regular analogue cables convert the digital signal to analogue and then send it to the television monitor. The signal is then converted back to digital to be displayed, which can cause a loss of quality during the process. With HDMI cables, no conversion is necessary so there is no loss of quality. HDMI cables also transmit digital signals directly and in their purest form, eliminating the need for compression.
Another benefit is HDMI can support large-screen viewing including plasma display panels and LCDs, from 625p up to 1125p, or even 1440p with HDMI 1.3 High-Speed cables. HDMI cables simplify the hook-up process because both video and audio signals are transmitted through a single cable. Also, HDMI cables offer users an interface that works with any audio/video source. In other words, all of their HDMI-equipped components can be enhanced with pure quality for pictures and sound. HDMI cables can support standard digital audio as well as enhanced and high-definition video, and 8-channel digital audio. HDMI cables can also support future upgrades with plenty of bandwidth to spare.
Shopping for HDMI Cables
HDMI cables come in different compatibilities, but fortunately the High-Speed HDMI will support standard systems. If you plan to upgrade in the near the future, it's a wise choice to go ahead and purchase the High-Speed cables, or 1.3 cables, which can transport 1080p video at 120 Hz easily. Any HDMI cable can support 8-channel audio, but not all cables will support special features such as Deep Color video. With Deep Color HDTV, look for a version number on the cables or for other hints on the packaging that the cable will support 30-bit Deep Color or True HD.
You can easily find HDMI cables at affordable prices online. There are online electronics stores that offer all versions of HDMI cables along with other products including computer cables, iPod accessories, computer fans, video cables, audio cables, chargers, adapters, cell phone accessories, digital photo accessories, and more.
Don't miss out on all your home theater system can offer. HDMI cables can bring you quality pictures and sound like never before!

With the current technology that has made people and nations closer, mobile and handheld devices can truly be considered great inventions and innovations. Gone are the days when one has to go home first before he can use the telephone or go to a public phone booth to place an all-important call to a loved one or business contact. With the presence of mobile phones, everyone has now gone wireless. Communication has, indeed, turned very easy for all.
Mobile phone, as it name suggests, provides mobility. It is portable communication device. One can bring it anywhere. It is made possible by satellites that transmit signals for the phone to send and receive. It is very convenient as one can use it anywhere irregardless of time and region.
People everywhere have seen the evolution of communication technology. From a phone that uses wires to one that no longer requires any. From the analog to the wireless. In some places, wireless phones were provided with signals by the network company. In other places, a simulated card in inserted in the phone to grab and receive signals and send as well. These phones use the concept of signal transmission and radio wave theories that enables a two-way communication with real time and clearer conversation.
From the analog mobile phones that only allowed calling and voice conversation evolved the mobile phones that have text messaging features. It is another emergence in the world of mobile technology. A person may send a text message that will be received by another party. This message is sent through a signal passing to a gateway which transmits it to the receiving party.
In the turn of the 20th century, mobile phones have become more of a trend and companies have started to make them appear more sophisticated. Mobile phones started with big sizes which transformed to smaller ones and then became bigger again. It has developed much like how computers have. Nowadays, mobile phones are not just for communication. Originally, it had the voice call function but since the technology is growing day by day, the mobile technology grows along with it. Mobile phones now have been created with different functions and usage which are beyond plain communication usage. These functions are constantly updated and additional features are created each day.

Many mobile phones are also designed with touch screen features where a person doesn’t need to touch the keypad anymore. The screen of the phone is designed to recognize commands as the finger tip touches the screen.
Moreover, mobile phones are now used as computers. With the General Packet Radio Service (GPRS), surfing the internet is now made possible. GPRS is used to transmit IP packets which enable users to use the internet wherever they go. People also use their mobile phones in banking transactions where they can send and receive money through phone.
Several high technology features are continuously being researched and applied to mobile phones. Not long ago when 3G system was developed. It enables users of the same networks call each other with real time camera. Through this system, one can actually see the person he is calling while talking to him. Long before people finally get familiar with the just launched 3G system, many companies are now researching on the higher system which is the fourth generation or 4G system. Researchers project the new system as faster with a connection speed reaching 100 Mb per second. This is seen to provide a better quality of call.
Mobile phones are not only for personal use like it was in the past. With mobile phones, reporters and journalists may now take and film news reports. Security system and surveillance are also possible.
It is seen in the near future that mobile phones are most likely to replace laptops. With the new mobile phones coming out of the market, viewing and working on documents only found in computers are now possible. It is also seen to replace entertainment devices with all the entertainment features new mobile phones have.
Mobile phones do not only play a big part in technology. Mobile phones also show fashion and style. Thus, to make these phones more appealing and attractive, manufacturers produce these phones in different colors, size, shape, and style.
Mobile phones are indeed one of the greatest contributions of technology. It has gone far beyond what man can imagine. Now, with the emergence of mobile technology, everyone just can’t live without one.
Electronics Tips: Voicemail and Caller ID Advantages for Cell Phone Users
Article Body:
Cell phones are convenient for talking while on the go, whether for business or personal use. They enable you to chat with friends or family long distance without paying extra charges. They provide a means for you to talk with family or friends when emergencies occur or when you need to ask a question at the last minute.
To go a step further and enjoy even more conveniences, consider setting up voicemail and caller ID on your cell phone. These two features often go unused on cell phones, but yet, they can provide an easy way to capture missed calls and/or avoid unwanted calls on your cell phone. Here are some benefits you'll enjoy using these features.
Voicemail Benefits
Voicemail on a cell phone is similar to an answering machine, except without the machine and recording cassettes. It can be set up within your cell phone with your own personal message or with an automated message. Voicemail enables your callers to leave messages if you're not available to answer the call or if you are on the line with someone else. Voicemail will even take messages for you if your battery loses power.
Check Voicemail from Anywhere
Some cell phone plans enable you to check your voicemail from anywhere, even from another phone (land line or cordless) at your home or away at a hotel while on vacation. This is very convenient when traveling if your cell phone battery is out of power and you want to check if anyone has called. You can check the voicemail and call them back on a regular phone if needed.
Also, voicemail is still available when you are out of your network. Even if your cell phone is turned off, your friends and family can still leave messages. This ensures that no one calls over and over to only get a ringing tone or busy signal.
Caller ID Benefits
Caller ID enables you to save money by avoiding unwanted calls and to see who's calling to determine if it's an urgent call or not. With caller ID, you can see who is on the line before answering the call. The screen will usually show a name or phone number, or both. It might also show that the caller cannot be identified in which cases it could be a private number or a telemarketer. If you see that it's a number you don't recognize you can refuse to answer and let them leave a message on your voicemail if it's something important.
Enables Cell Phone Etiquette
With voicemail and caller ID, you're not always fretting over who might be calling. You can turn your ringer off or down while dining or out for the evening and know that you can check voicemail messages later. You don't have to worry about calls interrupting your meal or your entertainment. Your other party can relax too!
With these great features, cell phones provide a convenient way to take calls. You can buy cell phones with the capability for these features at online shopping malls to save money. Brand names are available for cell phones, a PDA, and other electronics such as Sony, Samsung, Nokia, Motorola, and Blackberry. Electronics Tips: Questions to Ask before Buying an iPod or MP3 Player
Article Body:
Finding just the right iPod can be a confusing task. Every few months, new technology is being used to improve iPods. You probably want to get one that's not going to be obsolete within a few months, so here are some questions to ask before buying an iPod.
Why am I Buying an iPod?
As with all electronics, you should think about how you're going to use an iPod before making a buying decision. In your personal life, you can download songs onto your iPod to listen to while walking, jogging, traveling, or doing yard work. If you're a photographer, you may use your iPod to store digital photo files. Knowing "why" you need an iPod will help you choose just the right size, color, and type of iPod.
How Many Songs do I Plan to Store on my iPod?
If you plan to store hundreds of songs on your iPod, then you should be sure that the storage space can accommodate your needs. Expect to pay more for more space. Also, consider how file size relates to the quality of the songs you download. Some iPods and MP3 players state that you can download hundreds of songs, but the quality of the sound isn't that great. This is because the sound files are compressed to make them fit the available storage space. If you can't afford a lot of storage space, it's better to sacrifice the number of songs you want than to sacrifice quality.
What Type of iPods are Available?
iPods come in many shapes, sizes, colors, and with different storage capacities. Keep in mind that you are not limited to the "iPod" brand because MP3 players serve the same purpose. There are also many types of MP3 players available that give you a variety of choices. The types of iPods available include iPods specifically designed for Mac or Windows computers, regular iPods with lots of storage space, iPod minis for storing just a few of your favorite songs, and iPods with other functions and capabilities.
What Accessories Will I Need for My iPod?
Accessories for iPods might include an iPod case or sock for protecting the device, a remote control, camera connectors, an iPod dock, in-ear headphones, power adaptors, and software to expand its uses. Determine which accessories you will need and factor them into the price of your iPod.
If you are buying an iPod or MP3 player as a gift, consider purchasing a gift card so your recipient can buy iTunes for his or her iPod.
Where Should I Shop for an iPod?
You can shop locally for iPods or MP3 players or go online to get an even greater selection. At an online shopping mall, you can get an iPod or MP3 player, along with other great electronics such as cell phones, computer supplies, Xbox, PS2, and more. There are a variety of brand name items available online, such as Nokia, Sony, Samsung, and Blackberry, so you can get a great quality PDA and other electronics.
The bottom line is that you should choose an iPod or MP3 player that best suits your needs and your lifestyle. When you do, your favorite tunes will always be close at hand.
Electronics Tips: Cell Phone Facts Every User Should Know
Article Body:
As a cell phone user, you probably feel overwhelmed with all the changes that are coming about with cell phones. Cell phones are ever changing with new gadgets, services, and phones being released on a continual basis. Below we've put together some cell phone facts every user should know. Don't get caught in a cell phone trap, but become educated before you make your next phone purchase.
Cell Phone Batteries
Every cell phone user occasionally experiences the "race against battery life" on their cell phone. You try to use up every ounce of power there is before recharging. Unfortunately, this can cause many problems with your battery later on. Primarily, it could shorten the life of your battery between charges to the point where you're charging more than you're talking!
There are several ways to prolong the life of your cell phone battery. Keep your backlight off unless you know for sure you'll need it. This might be annoying at first, but it will save battery life. When traveling in areas where there is no coverage or there is only roaming coverage, turn off your cell phone completely. The cell phone uses a lot of battery power while trying to locate a network. In addition, try to limit your conversations on your cell phone. The longer you talk, the more battery power you will use. Also, limit your usage of cell phone games or Internet browsing. These use a lot of battery power even though you're not actually talking.
Downloading Woes
When downloading Web features, games, ringtones, wallpaper, and screensavers, be sure there are no recurring fees. Although companies may not state it upfront, some of these features have recurring monthly fees. If you purchase a cell phone for your child, find out if you can block these features. Or, find out if there's a way that you as a parent can order features, but your child cannot.
The Fine Print of Cell Phone Purchases
When buying a cell phone with a one- or two-year contract or pay-per use agreement, be sure to read the fine print. Consider how many minutes you plan to use the cell phone each month. Weigh the prices of both types of agreements before signing on the dotted line. If you plan to use the cell phone a lot, then a long-term contract might be worth it.
Consider the features you want. With long-term plans, you can often get more features on your cell phone for less money or even as a bonus at no charge. Ask if all your features, such as caller ID, will work when roaming. Also with any plan, consider if long distance is included. Find out the usual roaming charges, connection fees (if applicable), and if there are any other hidden fees in the plan.
Ask about Factory Warranties
Some cell phone companies will replace your cell phone if it breaks or is lost or stolen. Consider the warranty of a cell phone before buying. Cell phones are typically carried everywhere you go: in a purse, pants pocket, shirt pocket, on a belt case, and even out in wet weather. With cell phones being so mobile, they can easily get broken or damaged. The warranty will give you peace of mind when carrying and using your cell phone.
Buying Cell Phones Online
When buying cell phones online, be sure the phone is up-to-date and carries all the features you want. You can buy your cell phone online and still visit a local venue to purchase minutes or to sign up for a contract. Just be sure and buy from a company you trust.
There are also electronics shopping malls online where you can find many brand names of cell phones, a PDA, or other electronics at discount prices, such as Sony, Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, Blackberry. You can shop for other products while at the mall, including PS2 machines or games, computer supplies, iPods, and an Xbox.
Use these cell phone tips to find the phone you need for work or play!

Whether buying for yourself or a gift for a loved one, finding just the right DVD player isn't as easy as it seems. There are so many formats, sizes and added features for DVD players today that you might sift through hundreds of players before finding the right one at the right price. Use this quick guide to compare the types of DVD players available on the electronics market.
DVD Player Sizes
Determine what size player you will need. If you're adding a DVD player to your home entertainment system, determine where you will put it and how much space is available. Normal-sized DVD players can be rather wide so you'll want to be sure of your available space before shopping. DVD players are also very thin in height and most have a slot on the front that slides in and out for inserting the DVD. This is great if you have a wide space that is limited in height.
For odd-shaped spaces or very tight spots, there are different sizes and shapes of DVD players. These are usually available at electronics stores online so you'll have plenty of styles to choose from. The vertical DVD player, for example, sits upright similar to a vertical computer drive. It comes with a stand to hold it in a sturdy position. If you still have your old VHS collection, there are DVD/VHS combo machines that play both formats. This saves space as well. Also available are super slim DVD players and "space saver" DVD players to fit your personal needs.
Types of DVD Players
Once you determine the size you'll need, you're ready to compare name brands and features at the electronics store or website of your choice. You can often find many different brands and styles of players at one single electronics mall online. This will allow you to compare without spending hours searching through many websites.
Some of the features you'll see include progressive scan, time-slip recording, EZ editing, zoom, slow motion, HD (high definition) DVD, front audio/video input jacks, CD-R/-RW playback, MP3-CD playback, D/A converter, favorite scene selection, TV Guardian, and many others. You may not find one particular DVD player that carries every feature, so it's wise to determine which features are important to you before selecting a player. Which features will you likely use the most? Which will you probably never use?
You'll also notice there are many brand names for DVD players. Some of the well-known brands include Philips, Coby, Emerson, Toshiba, Magnavox, Sanyo, and Panasonic. Pricing for DVD players can range from around $50 to $500 depending on the features you choose.
If buying a DVD player for your child, there are also players with children's themes. The player will actually look like the child's favorite cartoon character!
To find the DVD player that's right for you, search online by brand name, features, or price to compare. Or, you can visit an online mall to compare all in one location. Besides electronics, you can also find other great items at an online mall such as computers, laptops, lingerie, pets, automotive products, telephones, jewelry, household products, toys, and more. Take your time to find the DVD player that will meet your needs. You'll enjoy years of quality entertainment!
Electronics Get Personal: Affordable Gadgets Top Everyone's Wish List
Article Body:
It shouldn't come as a surprise that consumer spending on personal electronics is at an all time high. After all, gadgets are getting both cooler and more affordable. The device viewed as extravagant only a few years ago is a must-have today. Here's an overview of some of the consumer electronics that top everyone's wish list.
Digital Camera
In today's digital age, film cameras are an anachronism. Although a few years ago, experts in the technology field viewed the digital camera as a computer peripheral rather than as a consumer product, the digital camera has caught on like wildfire. And, why not? After all, a filmcard gives the amateur photographer virtually unlimited opportunities to take pictures, review them, and know instantly whether or not he or she got the shot. With options ranging from point-and-shoot to specialty lighting for, say, eBay pictures, digital cameras have something for everyone. The newer models even have the capability to record high quality digital video and easily upload it to popular sites like YouTube.
GPS Receivers
GPS stands for Global Positioning System, and consists of a number of satellites in the Earth's orbit. A GPS receiver takes the information from the satellites to determine your latitude and longitude on the Earth's surface. Map overlays and other data provide the user with valuable information, such as driving directions, the locations of nearby stores, banks, and gas stations, and so forth. GPS receivers are also extremely popular for the relatively new sport of geocaching, where they are used to find containers hidden at certain longitudes and latitudes.
Video Gaming Consoles
When it comes to video games, the numbers are astounding. The video game industry brings in more money per year than the motion picture industry. It's no wonder, then, that video gaming consoles are some of the hottest commodities around. The PlayStation2 is still going strong, while the Xbox 360 made history with the stupendous success of the recently released Halo 3 game.
But perhaps the most revolutionary console of all is the Wii console. With the Wii, gaming is no longer passive. The controllers and nunchuk let players physically become part of the action, and the Wii console welcomes players into an online community where they can construct their own avatars, participate in surveys, and so much more. Plus, the Wii is a fully functional Web browser!
Cellular Phones and Accessories
It's an understatement to say that cellular phones are ubiquitous. Whether you're on the subway, in a bookstore, or driving in a car, chances are good that you are either talking on a cell phone or overhearing another person's conversation. Now that we're always in touch, accessories like a Bluetooth headset are almost a necessity. Wireless connectivity is safer and more convenient, and a Bluetooth headset is like a fashion accessory.
Buying Online
The best news about personal electronics is that, whether you're looking for a digital camera or a laser printer, you can buy it online with a few clicks of your mouse. There are wonderful one-stop online electronics stores that carry everything you could wish for - at incredibly affordable prices. The only question that remains is, what new must-have device will hit the stores next?

Easy Guide to Buy Digital Camcorders and DVD Camcorders
Article Body:
A camcorder is a portmanteau word made by combining 'Camera' and 'recorder'. A camcorder is a portable television camera and videocassette recorder. It is an electronic device for recording video images and audio onto a storage device. It contains both camera and recorder in one unit. The camcorders generally contain digital cameras. A camcorder having digital camera or digital technology is known as digital camcorder. A camcorder having dvd facility is dvd camcorder. A camcorder is powered with a camcorder battery.
Sony introduced the first camcorder in 1983, followed by Kodak in 1984. The first camcorders combined the video-camera with an existing full-size VHS/Betamax recorder. These camcorders were large devices that required a sturdy tripod or strong shoulders to stably support the camera's bulk. The majority of these were designed for right-handed operation, except a few that possessed ambidextrous ergonomics.
Sony introduced the first HandyCam camcorder in 1984. The HandyCam could be held and operated entirely within the palm of the operator's hand, made possible by the 8mm video format.
The lens, imager, and recorder are the three major components of a camcorder. The lens gathers and focuses light on the imager. The imager (usually a CCD (charge-coupled device) or CMOS sensor IC on modern camcorders; earlier examples often used vidicon tubes) converts incident light into an electrical (video) signal. Finally, the recorder encodes the video signal into a storable form. The optics and imager are commonly referred to as the camera section.
The recent times are witnessing a great revolution in the camcorders. The camcorders with ultra modern technology are in the market. The mainstream consumer market favors ease of use, portable cheap camcorders and discount camcorders.

Dyson D15 Vacuum Cleaner
Article Body:
The Dyson DC15 is a great vacuum to hit the market, as it is the first and only vacuum cleaner to feature the very unique ball. Even though robotic vacuum cleaners are becoming the most popular types of vacuum cleaners, the DC15 is ideal for housewives who want a traditional vacuum cleaner with a twist. The Dyson DC15 upright vacuum has a large yellow ball that will allow the vacuum to pivot and roll with the greatest of ease. You can simply turn your wrist and the vacuum cleaner will change its direction. The ability is something that is commonly associated with canister style vacuum cleaners. It also offers quite an interesting filtration system. No matter what you may think or hear, Dyson vacuums don't use filters in the way that most vacuum cleaners do. The air and dirt are sucked into the container where the outer cyclone removes large particles such as food, hair, and even fibers. The air will then move into the shroud and inner cyclone where it is rotated with a higher velocity to drop fine particles of dust out of the air.
From the inner cyclone, the air will move about through a washable inner foam pre filter where a majority of the particles will remain trapped. This feature helps the DC15 to keep dirt and debris trapped inside and out of the motor. The last step in the system after moving through the motor is the trip through the final HEPA filter. The DC15 has a very strict filter system, which will prevent 99.9% of bacteria and mold from getting to your home. The vacuum will suck it up and keep it inside of the vacuum where it belongs. Even though they aren't very well known, Dyson has been around for many years. They aren't as popular or as well known as the bigger companies such as Hoover, although they offer you great quality and performance with their vacuum cleaners. Unlike Hoover, Dyson works to improve on their own products as well as the competition with each product they release.
The Dyson DC15 is also known for its suction power and attachments as well. With the ball assembly, using attachments are a breeze. The only problem you may have, is getting the hang of things. The attachment wand is stored inside of the handle of the vacuum and is always attached. To use it, you lock the handle in the upright position then push a button on the front of the handle that will allow you to telescope the wand for use.

DVRs have carved a niche in the field of satellite television. HDDVRs with all their features have managed to attract the attention of many a couch potatoes. The futuristic feel of the product and the control that it has given to the viewer has added a new dimension to TV viewing and some are already comparing it with the transformation brought on after the onset of color television in the last century. There is also extensive demand for the embedded DVRs because of their independence and ease of operation. Many banks, security firms, commercial organizations have already switched over to this technology and are enjoying the benefits.
In the transport sector, the technology is now fast catching up as many cargo firms are now depending on DVRs to obtain real time information on the movement and safety of their goods. Along with the GPS system, this technology has given companies another avenue to monitor cargo movement. The demand for DVR in this sector is expected to increase in the years to come.
